A cornerstone of Singapore’s fine dining landscape since 2019, 2-Michelin Star Cloudstreet is shaped by the personal journey and philosophy of Chef-Owner Rishi Naleendra – “Bold, Unexpected, Contrasting”. The restaurant presents a progressive, ingredient-driven cuisine that brings together diverse cultural influences through a deeply personal lens.

Highlights from the tasting menu include Grilled Oyster with Betel Leaf, Coconut, Finger Lime; Sri Lankan Curry of Normandy Blue Lobster; and Tochigi A4 Wagyu with Braised Japanese Eggplant, Fermented Soy, and Beef Tendon.

Chef-Owner Rishi Naleendra

Hailing from Colombo, Sri Lanka, Chef Rishi Naleendra brings a deeply personal and globally shaped perspective to his craft. Originally set on a path in architecture, his journey took a pivotal turn in Australia, where he trained in hospitality while working across kitchens.

He later moved to Singapore to helm MACA, before opening his first restaurant, Cheek by Jowl, where his produce-driven, modern approach began to take shape. The restaurant earned a Michelin star, making Rishi the first Sri Lankan chef to receive the honour.

In 2019, Rishi opened Cloudstreet, which has since been awarded two Michelin stars. Rooted in the values of family and home, his cooking is progressive and expressive, drawing from his Sri Lankan heritage and global influences to create dishes that are thoughtful, layered, and deeply personal.

Beyond Cloudstreet, his ventures, including Kotuwa, which has received Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition, alongside FOOL Wine Bar and Station by Kotuwa, reflect his evolving journey and commitment to creating spaces that are vibrant, welcoming, and grounded in genuine hospitality.
